What’s a Kinder Goat?
Kinders are a small dual purpose breed.
That means they are great for both milk and meat.
They eat less than a full sized goat, take up less space, are capable of breeding year round and if that weren’t enough, they typically have multiple births.
With a Kinder Goat you get a Totally Awesome goat in a small package!
So, how do you get Kinder Goats?
Here’s the basic recipe!
Take one of these-

Also, just to clear things up… Kinder is pronounced just as you would in the word kindergarten. Easy!
And now a bit of Kinder history~
What started out as an accidental breeding has led to intentional crossings of Nubian does and Pygmy bucks, and of course Kinder to Kinder.
This original crossing produces a smaller goat that consumes less feed and takes less space… without losing the best of dairy and meat goat characteristics.
For the 20+ years that the Kinder has been around, the breed has proven itself over and over with milk production records that match -and sometimes even surpass- standard sized goats.
Combine that with the Kinder’s delicious milk and the option to cull goats for meat, Kinder goats really shine as an all purpose breed!
